Just had two domains go live today and was surprised at the big difference in response times between win12 and win14. Ping times on Win12 are 150% those of win12. Sites on win14 load noticeably faster too.
It appears that it may be a network issue, as they are on completely different networks; win12 is 64.187.101.206, while win14 is on 204.10.105.210.
Thoughts? Ideas? Concurrence?
Ping is idential for both those IPs for me.
The network is also identical for both those servers..
If you are getting a 150% difference in ping between those 2 servers, there is definately something wrong there and could be responsible for your speed difference. Can you PM me a tranceroute to both your sites, as well as the website urls..
Also, the response times for ASP and ASP.NET for both Win12 and Win14 are almost identical according to our monitoring system, at least for the moment.
Definately seems quite surprising. Must be something with the route your ISP is taking in both cases.. Please PM me that requested info..
