The main problem re-occuring is with the ASP/database stream. It also (from the red peaks) looks like the server was down earlier.
Does the jodo pulse actually try to load a database or just ping the asp function - cos a number of times in the past the web pages (asp driven) load slow with no database access or very slow/sluggish even when the read out on jodo pulse is a bit less than the 3101 above.
I have to pick my time now to load unload data for the shoppng cart. God knows how many customers are loosing patience waiting for the site to load.
For a whizzy new server win 2 does seem a problem.
Win2 is not down, but it has been in a slow cycle for the last 5 to 6 minutes. I am tracking this. Win2 parameters seem 100% normal yet our sensors have picked up slow responses
ITs fixed now. We think what is happening is that there is one very MAJOR website on Win2. It doesn’t have any performance issues, but it seems that during morning hours, it does some sort of maintenance tasks that things to slow down. Not in terms of cpu usage, but traffic.
This is a MAJOR website, we are watching it and will move it off Win2 if necessary

Maybe a premium 4 letter domain should be on a “premium 4 letter dedicated server”
Yes, especially with 50 to 100 visitors browsing it at any given time. It seems to be a very large commercial site, I wonder why its hosted on a shared server.
We plan to move this site off, and are watching it closely
Sooner its moved the better. If win2 slows again due to that site I will send my mother in law round to give them a piece of her tongue … and she has got s-o-m-e tongue 8o
But in all seriousness, this site has about 20 subdomains, and really needs to get off of a shared server, it pushes IIS connections sky high at certain points of the day causing the IIS issues, of note is that we set the CPU throttle more as a measure than the problem. Even when this siteis high cpu(20%, for a single site, very high), theoverall usage never jumps above 50%, and the server CPU wise is fine, but the IIS connections jump sky high and start dropping.
Actually it fixed itself, I was not on shift yet, and none of the other admins got to the point of alerting me about it(which normally means 5 min or longer, 24x7)
Yes, bit worrying ain’t it - none of the others doing any thing about the most trouble some server out of the lot over the past few weeks jamming up … again, you would have thought they would have had a look see at what was causing the spikes in performance. I bet you look foreward to going on shift
I am going to look at logs and see if I can find anything, but sometimes after the fact is far harder than while it is happening for a situation like this.
I am building a load of servers today, this site will be moving to one of those other servers so that it is off Win2, there were some shipping delays in getting parts due to an abnormal snowstorm in the southern US where UPS packages were stuck
