Win 5 server date - is wrong?

Good morning from Corfu Greece - the 20th of December - I thought until i started posting messages in my forum!

Seems the Server clock is one day ahead! When/how did this happen? This will really screw my forum once the date is corrected. :frowning:

Thanks I see it has now been corrected, but now I have to sort out the mess it has created within my forums!

I’ve just returned from lunch with major problems thoughout my site due to this mornings date problem. My forums are telling people they are spamming - due to posting more than 4 posts within a set period - it’s counting those they made ‘tomorrow’!!

Our log system to track orders and reservations has now entered incorrect dates for today as tomorrows making the whole system useless. Unfortunately, my site revolves around a highly efficient date system!

Has anyone else been effected - or just me? I would be interested as to why there has been no ‘offical statement’

I am not aware of any date change. I am however investigating this treating this as a very serious.

At the moment, the date is perfectly OK

Yash, the following is part of a log transcript that is automatically appended each time a customer logs in their account. Note the times and dates:

I wonder if the cause of your problem is also the cause of my AWStats oddity:

I can confirm that the date was moved ahead by 24 hours as a result of a configuration error (we performed some maintenance during this time period (1AM to 3:30AM). Anyhow, that is unacceptable and I’ll be ensuring this doesn’t happen again

I appologize for that. I’ve already issued a notice to all our staff regarding this issue.

Dec 20 stats will reappear in Awstats in an hour after the system regenerates the logs..

You misunderstood. I said that this happened during maintenance, due to a configuration error.

We had installed some software.

Please could you ensure that this does not happen again. We are currently testing a new reservation enquiriy system, that is based on a forum. This date problem as caused many problems and it was a customer that noticed the problem!

I may have misunderstood, but my basic question still remains. What was happening that possibly required a server date change?
