Win13??

Thanks Stephen. Did you find anything odd in the event logs at those times?

Nothing odd, I setup some performance logging/counters but they were showing some bogus data because MSSQL services had been up for a very long time. They are working since I restarted the services and I am keeping a log on them.

Thanks for all your efforts Stephen.

I’m off to bed now… if you do the time conversion to +8 GMT, you’ll know how tired I am.

Depends on if you sleep all day

Noticing a few delays/outages today, not sure if its sql or the webserver, jsut a couple minutes at a time.

http://www.fishingnet.ca/ - Totaly down.

Exception of type System.OutOfMemoryException was thrown.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.OutOfMemoryException: Exception of type System.OutOfMemoryException was thrown.

Schooner, this means the Application pool hit the asp.net memory limits, I will check what pool this is in and see what used so much ram, as this should not happen, to get that error it means the pool would have to hit over 700MB of used memory.

Thanks Stephen. This is a DNN2 site that we have never had any performance issues with as well, nor has it changed in well over a year. The CSR on livechat said it was jsut our site that had hung and not the pool itself.

I just had the same problem on a domain hosted on Win13.

I would like to know 2 things:

  1. Can I reset the application from somewhere at the control panel?

  2. If this problem cannot be isolated, is it easy to move the whole account to another server?

Thank you very much!

The pool you were in giving the out of memory error is the same one the site schooner mentioned was in, there are about 20 there, I have moved some out for testing as they are consuming large amounts of ram(300MB between them)

http://www.fishingnet.ca/ Same error again. Can you please fix this ASAP as this is becomming annoying to say the least.

http://www.fishingnet.ca/ - Down yet again today. X(

Stephen - Can you please put all our domains into one pool of their own. We are getting frustrated with all this downtime.

I’m on live chat and their are telling me everything is fine now as the site clearly shows “Service Unavailable”. Not too pleased.

Schooner, those domains were put into a pool of their own, I just put all your sites in one pool and it crashed, I will try to ID why.

I made a pool just for your sites, and within 5 minutes it has entered a stopped state.

Well other sites are fine and this site that has never given us any issues is now causing issues. I was also told there was a server issue and it had been fixed. Not clear on what is going on anymore.

No other site had issues but this one so that is odd as the pool clearly wasn’t down, only this site.

I found the reason, it was not your sites, it seems there was some hsphere ISAPI loaded when I made the change, and it did not follow over:
The HTTP Filter DLL C:\HSphere\bin\htaccess.dll failed to load. The data is the error.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at Microsoft Support .

I have started the pool now, and will keep an eye on it, but I tihnk it should be good now.

Schooner, there were subdomain sites of yours using that pool, I wont give full urls here but, erac, mcnal, kod, sidel, were also in that pool.

Ah ok thanks Stephen. I’ll keep an eye on things and let you know. Just frustrating as that is twice now today.

Seem to be getting a few intermittent outages for a minute or so again on a couple site - http://www.itnovascotia.com/ , http://www.schoonersolutions.com

Sites also seems slow this morning.

Seems right now as I type this that http://www.schoonersolutions.com is not responding at all but other site is.

All seems to be back and working ok again now.
