Over the past two weeks, Win2 has been suffering intermittent short asp/asp.net outages sometimes less than a minute a piece, sometimes 2-3 minutes.

We have one heavily trafficked site on this server and have been receiving numerous complaints about this.

I placed 2 tickets about this, one 8 days ago and one 4 days ago, and the problem is still there. I know intermittent issues are the hardest to troubleshoot, but can we put some kind of monitor on this machine?

Perhaps we can move the domain with the heaviest traffic to another, more reliable server; anything to stop the flood of emails informing me that “service unavailable” is displaying AGAIN.

that is very odd, I have not seen any issue on win2, can you give me the tickt you are discussing this on and I will check the app pool.

Sorry for the late post. Manish actually gave me a hand with this a bit earlier; he found a Russian spam bot targeting the domain and blocked their IP address and the complaints have since tried up.

ahhh nice, it sounds like your site may have already been in its own pool or in a very small one

This started happening again today; I re-sent the ticket about 7 hours ago but no response. I’ve PM’d you the ticket #; anything you can do to help is appreciated, as the client is not too happy..,
