WIN21 site down too often

One of my clients has a site on WIN21 that is down at least once per week. And those are just the instances where they call me to notify me it’s down.

This is getting ridiculous.

You can see ticket IMN-13109-424 for the domain name.

we need to know any errors shown etc, there is no issue on win21 as a whole.

that’s the problem, there were no errors. there never are. when people try to access the site, it just hangs in the browser. I’ve had 3 different people in 3 different parts of the US try it for the past 30 minutes. None of them could get on.

It can be that the pool gets hanged but not for 30 min, however we have moved your domain to a different pool now.

This is happening AGAIN. This is impossible to explain to customers. It’s only the ASP portion of the site that hangs. My client is ready to leave me. I need a real solution to this problem ASAP

site down for about 2 hours now. It has come back up a couple times for about 2 or 3 minutes, then goes back down.
ugh.

I have moved the site to a dedicated app pool.

It took me 45+ minutes to get a response on live chat…sheesh

We are very low on staff, and sent a notice of this to all clients. It is a major holiday in India, so our india office is running on skeleton staffing.

First:
I was told this domain was being monitored. I’ve been told this in the past with other domains as well, but it never seems to make a difference. If this domain was ‘being monitored’ then Jodohost should have noticed it was down and remedied the problem.

Second:
I know about the low staff situation, but frankly, customers don’t care what the reason is. All my client knows is that the site wasn’t working for 2 hours. I can’t tell my client “oh sorry about your website, the hosting company is short-staffed”…that just makes them even more upset. I wasn’t able to notify Jodohost immediately when the client informed me their site was down again, but if the site was being monitored, someone should have caught it.

It’s just really frustrating…I hope for Jodohost’s sake and for mine that the dedicated app pool fixes the problem.

when we monitor, it is done for 1-2 weeks and then removed, sometimes the tech on duty will not add it to the system monitoring, but just check it regularly through their shift I don’t know if tha tis what happened in this case, but it was not on the system monitoring.

This is happening yet AGAIN on this website. safetymanagementinc.com and safetymi.westomahatech.com have been extremely slow all morning. This site is by no means large or process-intensive.
At times, the site is inaccessible.

I had found one PHP abuse on server. One sub domain was abusing php on server. Sub domain was opening many php process and there were taking 60-70% of CPU. I had stopped sub domain and notified to client. We are still monitoring server and if we get any issue. We will fix it.

It looks like I am not the only other user with these issue on WIN 21 specific to ASP. There is obviously a problem on WIN21 and it is getting worse. My sites were up and down all week, for probably 24-48 hours total.

This is as bad as it gets. If this is not resolved I will have to look for alternatives as this is costing my client money and I could lose their hosting business. Why is it that this continues and Jodohost is making excuses? Why not fix this server, move my sites, or kick the offending web site off?

Also it seems convenient to bury these posts on the forum but they are reseller issues, not just server and network issues. IS there even a link to this section on the forum home page? Now other resellers may not find these posts and provide Jodo important feedback on this server. They probably don’t even know there is a problem.

I think this is a bit short sighted on the customer service end. Other posts remain in the reseller section that are candidates for removal as well. Seems like this is in an effort to hide these issues. Should I post again in the reseller section about this issue? It just doesn’t feel right and it does not make me happy. This is why there are only two posts in this section!

Truthfully, who knows what type of uptime this server is having. I’ve provided a lot of details about the issues and basically gotten a cookie cutter response. Do I need to ask for a SLA credit? Do I need to find a new host? What can we do to resolve this?

Thanks!

Right now, I am checking win21. Please wait for my next response.

I had found that some Application pool was having memory bump. I have isolated pool and now, server is looking good. We are still monitoring CPU and memory usage on server.

I am also having too many problems with sites hoted on WIN 21 specific to ASP.

This has been going on for many, many months with me having to raise supports issues on a regular basis pointing out that my ASP sites on WIN21 don’t respond or are extremely slow to respond.

What’s the latest news with trying to indentify what is causing all the problems?

Moving sites to another server is my last resort (and at my cost apparently)
