win40 is seeing some sporadic high packet loss, we are looking into it.
We have the IIS web services temporarily off as we work to find a DDOS attack that is making the packet loss.
While it is not 100% good now, it is much better, we have shutdown the site that was being targeted, and it was also in violation of the terms of service for it’s content matter. So the domain won’t be back up here, and the packetloss is quite minor at the moment, not impacting pages loading like it was before.
Well, it looks like we need a tech to go to the datacenter, this server is a hardware node, and the overwhelming amount of bad requests and traffic even with the site off is making the server to lock up, and this needs some hands on attention.
Server is almost without packetloss now, we didn’t have to manually reboot it. We are keeping a close watch.
