wincf sites still no data there

Some of my sites are still not back on wincf, sites beginning with c, d, l and so forth. According to the status message by Stephen it sounded like those should be back up. Others starting with later letters in the alphabet are back.

At what point should I assume those sites are shot? I don’t have recent backups because a lot of them are customer managed sites. They’ve been calling me to find out if their data will be restored. I dont’ know what to say.

Please, I need a little more info about the restore process so that I can answer my client’s questions.

There is no data to restore, it is the same data hard drive, no data is lost on the content.

As Stephen said, the data was always on the hard disk.. We never had to pull it from backup.

However, if your data is missing for some reason, we can restore it for you from external backup. Open a ticket

Thanks Stephen and Yash. All my sites are back but one. I’ll have to check with the client to see what was there. If need be, I’ll submit a ticket for a restore.

How do you re-install an OS if the data is still on the drive??

?( I’m confused heh

edit maybe data is on a second partition?

Exactly, Customer data and OS we always keep seperate :wink:

infact, we have a 3rd partition for log files and backups too :slight_smile:
