Cluster1 coming super soon, I just need a day ![]()
We didn’t get the mail out about CL2(cluster2) last night, but it will be going out tonight.
It has some additional details as well.
I will paste the letter here, it may have an edit or two before sending but the info is good here in any case.
Dear (customer name here) ,
We want to let you know we have launched a number of new servers including Windows 2008 and SQL 2008 servers. These are exciting times at Jodohost as we move to new cloud based server infrastructure across our Hsphere platform. To keep things brief, if you are a shared customer and wish to move to 2008 Server, we can process your request immediately, just email [email protected] to get in the queue and mention the best time to proceed. If you are a reseller, new accounts will be going to Windows 2008 based cloud servers starting now, there is a more detailed statement below the new server details.
We have also launched new cloud based linux servers starting with the Web9 and MySQL3 servers.
Details of new server:
Win11
Operating System: Windows 2008x64
Service - Windows web server
Win12
Operating System: Windows 2008x64
Service - Windows web server
MSSQL4
Operating System: Windows 2008 x64
Service - MSSQL 2008 R2 SQL Server
Web9:
Operating System: CentOS 5.5 x64
Service - Linux web server
MySQL3:
Operating System: CentOS 5.5 x64

Cluster - Cluster2 (cp.g********.com)
Resellers are requested to add all servers as a Server Alias by:
- Logging into their Reseller Admin CP
- Visiting Server Aliases > E.Manager
- Scrolling down to the end of screen and pressing Submit
With these servers we have moved into using cloud based server instances on all new servers, and will begin to move all servers to a cloud based elastic infrastructure. We will not have any new utility based usage charges, all will remain the same in billing, just allowing new flexiblity in server launches as we go forward, along with improved restoration times in cases of disaster recovery.
Windows 2008 servers do not have the same COM objects as the 2003 servers, a note will be added to our site shortly in this regard. We will be including cloud instances of Windows 2003 servers, new accounts will go to 2008 by default but if you need 2003 we will move them to 2003 at no charge.
Regards,
Jodohost Customer service
