JodoHost is growing and to accommodate the growth of new and existing services and provide the best possible services we are moving our services to a new datacenter in Waco, Texas in a planned way. We have moved substantial number of our Shared and WinVPS customers to Waco already.
We now plan to move remaining of our WinVPS customers. We have dozens of VPS nodes ready to begin the WinVPS migrations and we plan to do this as comfortably, and timely as possible. We will try to keep your sites up for all the time while we move the data across and move the VPS. During this the existing VPS will keep running and a clone of your VPS will be created and moved. There can be a possibility for some VPS clients of downtime if cloning fails to copy files across, however this will be an exception.
For over 6 months, we have been offering WinVPS moves on a voluntary basis. Substantial number of WinVPS customers who are now moved to Waco, has been offered increased resource allocation, which may be seen by visiting - http://www.jodohost.com/windows-vps-virtuozzo.asp
Upon your WinVPS move to Waco, you too will start getting above significantly increased VPS HD, RAM, and Bandwidth allocations. Along with this there will be an upgrade of the Virtuozzo software powering your VPS that fixes many bugs, provides a more robust Power Panel, and has scheduled task/backup manager for a more feature filled set of tools.
The process of cloning and migration may take up to 24 hours in some cases, and all settings and parameters will be moved across in this time, you may need to re-sync any SQL databases with your live server before switching over, but this is much easier to do on a server that is already a clone and fully configured with the same DB and settings.
You will be provided with New IP address on your new VPS and your old IP's will be redirected for a week to ten days. During this you will have to change the nameservers IP addresses, Domain pointing or you are using external DNS to point domains hosted on VPS. Once migrated we will give 24 hours to verify data, and do any sync, then coordinate the redirection services.
All your data will be intact as we move this. We want to work with you in this process, and will work with you however possible to proceed in this in the most timely and orderly manner.
