Recently Outlook has been closing on me during email retrieval. When I check Task Manager I see a 17+meg ram instance of WinWord running.. I suspect its a worm. So could someone suggest me a good (good meaning free) worm finder/remover.

Most worms are detected by AV software, I use AVG anti-virus on a few of my machines, and have to say that for free software it very good. It can be setup to update everyday and has helped me sort a few ‘clients’ machines.

In order for you to remove a worm you have to know what it is first :))
Outlook can use MS Word as its email editor…maybe worth a repair/reinstall if you don’t find a virus.

I Have a Virus,Worm,Trojan. I really dont know what it is but its eating Space on my C Drive and it’ll go from 500 mbs to 0 bytes overnight. any clue what it is AVG wont pick it up. but i got a feeling its a Worm
