Am I losing it...

I have installed the webwizforum. i can't seem to find the wwforum.mdb anywhere, they say move it and rename it, will I can't find it on my webspace in the ftp.

ANyone have any idea. ?(

Haven't checked the latest version, but it used to be in /admin/db/

Yep, thats what it says it should be. I don't even have a database folder in the admin folder. Forum is working tho..

I am thinking maybe becasue I didn't create a database in the ODBC thats why the database folder is not showing up. All I did was create the database under MsSQL then installed forum.

ah... not an mdb file at all, then, since you're not using the Access version. afaik, the SQL database will exist on one of the SQL servers, not on the win server you're on.
never used it, myself, so someone who knows what they're talking about might be able to assist.

Hmmmmmmm. Im thinking it's safer this way, not having the database on the main webserver. 8)

if your still confused, look in the common.asp file, you'll see which your using

and theres alot of reasons why you should use MSSQL over Access

on a sidenote: if you are using Access and you cant find it - thats a good sign, as a hacker has even less chance of finding it

Yea, its Mssql server. I must of looked for that database folder in my ftp for 30min. LOL. I really thought I was losing it. I am new to asp so this is good to know.
