Bandwidth throttled?

Is the bandwidth on the Windows servers in the resellers accounts throttled?

I was just downloading my SQL backup file that I had placed on the domain I just transferred via ftp and the throughput looked like it was capped at about 512k.

Is that right? If so I may need to reconsider moving here.

There is no capping on bandwidth at all.

I just tested and got the full 1.5Mb/s of my DSL on a file from win1(server you are on), it was 179kb/s

I don't have access to a faster line now except servers, this one is off network in Dallas and got over 10mb/s probably not faster due to the smallish size of the file (a dll installer less than 5mb in size)

Actually I may know the issue today, internap is routing around some carriers that are dropping many packets, the other routes may be slightly more busy than normal causeing a slowdown in your route it should be back to normal within 24 hours.
