Can't change Chmod settings in FTP

I recently installed a PHP script, and whilst looking at settings in Core FTP lite, I notice all my files on my jodohost account seem to be set to 777. I don't know if this makes me more vulnerable to any possible attacks? If I right click and try to change a setting it just comes up with 'command not understood'. Any ideas?

Thank you for the reply! That would be the reason why - I'm on windows.
Should I be concerned if all folders and files are set to 777, or is it reasonably secure to leave things this way? I'm presuming everything is set to 777 by default on a Windows server?

1. it may be showing 777 wrongly 2. we can remove permissions if you need by request :)

Hi Stephen. I've removed the particular vulnerable installation part of the script now it's up and running. I'm afraid I really don't know how vulnerable files and folders are when chmod is set to 777 (assuming this is the case). I imagine the chances are it's probably fine to keep it as it is.
