Cold Fusion Setup Problems

hey, i'm new to cold fusion and i have set it up to a developer edition. after i set it up it takes me to the login page, where i type in my password. it then takes me to the RDS Setup section where i click next and it takes me straight back to the login page. i have tried every possibility, i have tried disabling it and entering passwords and everytime it takes me straight back to the login page. it's just like the next button your hitting is actually a previous button.

i don't have a clue what to do, but i need it to work so any help would be good!!

have you tried to reset the password? I know at the time of install you have to create two passwords. Cf admin password and rds password. There is a check box to make them the same. It sounds as if it doesnt like the password. just my throughts and rambles. if it helps great. if not hmm i'll do some tetsing on my box and see if i can point you in the right direction/
 
yeah i have tried uninstalling it, updating it and still i can't get past the RDS setpup page. it sux!! i don't know what the go is. just keeps going back to the login page.

i can't see any checkbox that makes the passwords the same

i need desperate help in what to do!!
 
I really don't know, CF installs do some funky things and are not the same on any server I have installed it on (a lot of them), but I have had that problem.
One useful thing is to go to c:\installedfolder\logs and look at the server.log and the exception.log, if you have those you could paste them here and I might can point you in the right direction as to what might be going wrong.
 
I have been having the same problem. Relatively frustrating that I cannot even install the program. Anyway, below are the contents of the server.log, the only log that exists in the logs folder.

Does anyone have a fix for this problem? I have noticed it on three boards now, with no solution.
