Connecting to MySql Server

Is it possible to connect to the JH mysql servers from another host altogether?

I'll explain: I have a test site set up on an account using wordpress. The client wants me to install the site on their rather suspect hosting. Their host gives no option for installing the WP db. Can I install the WP files on their host but use the db hosted on JH?

No that is blocked off and not allowed. Multiple reasons for it, but traffic can be very heavy, and not accounted is the main reason.
