We will be migrating our control panel server to a new Hardware/OS on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 10:30:00 PM EDT(GMT-4).
This migration is going to take place for below reason:
1. Control panel server runs RedHat7.3 that is now no longer support by RedHat for quite some time and thus no updates being available.
2. Hsphere no longer supports RedHat 7.3.
3. Performance benefits that the new hardware will offer.

Basic idea here is to clear our upgrade path for this cluster to Hsphere 3.0 and this can be well considered as a major step in this direction.

Service being affected - Control panel/NS
Estimated service downtime - 1 hour (Control panel only)

Please note, ns2.m****here.biz will continue to serve queries normally for customers using ns.m****here.biz, so there will be almost no DNS service downtime.

New server specs:
-----------------

Operating System - CentOS 4.5

Hardware configuration:
Dual Intel Xeon 2.6 Ghz
4GB DDR RAM
146GB RAID1 + 36 GB SCSI Hard drive

Control panel & name service is now running from the new server.
Control panel was unavailable for 10 minutes.

Migration was complete with my previous post. All appears to be working well at the moment.

It seems the control panel did not handle the network maintenance that well and it is sayin it is temporarily unavailble. We are working to resolve this now.
