I have a MS SQL database. I asked support personel for a backup file, and got a .BAK file. The file was about 500 mb. My control panel has said a long time the size of db was about 500 mb.
When I 6 hours later ask support personel for a new backup file, the size has grown to over 1000 mb!! The thing is that the site has been closed and no bigger updates should have been done in database since the 500 mb backup.
How could the database grow so much and so suddenly? I can hardly believe it´s true
I am really not an MS SQL expert, so if someone could explain this to me I would appreciate it.
Edit: I look now in my control panel and it says that the database is used total 532 mb! How can the just created backup file become over 1000 mb
