Database user disappeared?

I have a ticket in for this TZK-15960-631 but I thought I'd mention here in case anyone else can shed light on the problem.

I have a Wordpress site down, don't know how long, but it turns out it's because the database user disappeared completely from the CP on win38 ? The database is still there, but the user has gone. Anyone had that before?

The CPs seem to have changed as well? There are no items in the top menu apart from Home and Logout. Was there some reconfiguration done might be related to the problem? (I'm sure they were there before, or maybe I'm dreaming...)
 
Thanks. Turned out the CP menus weren't there because I had Javascript turned off... duh. My bad.

Just in case, I changed the CP login too as per your suggestion, but it's all very odd.
 
looks like firefox has something new that does this, as It just happened to me here on the forum, a text only forum is what I saw until I enabled it...it was blocking all javascripts...eeeek
