eudora 5.2 will not connect to mail server

Hello all: I am a new user of Jodohost. I cannot get eudora 5.2 to receive mail. I have the incoming mail server set to mail.mydomain.com and the login name to [email protected]

As far as I can tell, jodohost is setup identical to my last hosting company so I cannot understand why mail is not working.

I get the error message "could not connect to mail.mydomain.com" cause connection refused 10061

any advice would be appreciated.
By the way, webbased mail works for my domain.

Connection refused sounds like a firewall issue, on your side or possibly ours. If you can submit a ticket to us we can gladly look it up and see if there is any firewall issue on our side.
