Hi guys,

is there any problems with MSSQL1 and 4

Web Wiz Forum (on the actual site) times out, does actions like post a messahge but times out afterwards, takes a few seconds to 15 to render some pages when usually about 1 - 2

also on MSSQL4 pages that ussually take around 1 second are taking 15.

nothing has changed on them and WWG not being mine anyway.

just wondered if anyone has seen any problems/ lagging or is it my connection but still the rendering shouldn't take time. as they are rendered then sent

No, I do not think this is DB related. What I assume you are saying is that sometime while posting on www.webwizguide.info (hosted on sql1), the page may timeout or load in 10 or 15 seconds.

I have this issue time to time posting on many forums including this forum and web hosting forums. For me, I am certain its ISP related.

WWG prints the processing time at the end of the page. That will be the actual time it took the server to render the page. The time that it takes after that for your site to load will depend on your connection with the server, which is something we can't control.

However, if you are getting frequent high processing times, that would be an issue. Report it to us in a ticket. If you are getting high processing times, but rarely, then it's something you can expect in a shared hosting environment which we do try to minimize though

i'll submit a ticket about it then

because 8 times out of 10 (not 9 lol)

Web wiz Guides forum for me times out, takes up to 20 seconds to render.

nearly every time i visit it.

and the other one i know there is an issue between Win8 and MSSSQL 4, and i get rendering times of 6 seconds at present, when its ussually under a second.

but Web wiz guides forum (its self) has been playing up for me .. for about 3 - 7 days now.

i'll submit a ticket on this . so it can be checked out.

Well, there is definately an issue with your connection then. A traceroute would be nice

I can browse the webwizguide site as well as some old mssql1-win5 forums perfectly without issues. Getting processing times around 1 second

Bruce @ WWG is normally pretty fast in letting me know if his site is slow or is having issues

As far as MSSQL4 - Win8 goes. I'd be surprised if there is any lag considering MSSQL4 is no where close to fully loaded and is performing very well

Submit a ticket, we'll monitor

heres a tracert

not sure if that what you mean .

with regards to MSSQL4 and Win8

there has been some issues on Win8 and MSSQL4 that stephen said is a Win8 issue that is returning a server or access denied error when connecting to MSSQL4

the ticket is FJT-41974-177 if you want more details.

i'm doing a full system check with spyware ad ware and virus checks. im always up to brim with security lol. i think it maybe something to do with my connection as i have MSN troubles very bad.. can't stay on for more than 5 mins sometimes

I am fully aware of the SQL denied issue. That is a Win2003 bug resolved in SP1. We plan to upgrade to SP1 as soon as HSphere officially supports it. However, a majority of the sites are unaffected with that issue and those that are, we have solutions worked out

However, this issue would not make the processing time slower.

If you are having issues with MSN as well, might be due to packet loss?
