how often are Windows Updates performed?

i know we've been told to never ever perform Windows Updates from within our VPS, but i'm curious if they ever get updated. i went to the Windows Update site just to see what it says my server needs, and it currently suggests 30 high-priority updates, most of them security updates for Windows Server 2003.
 
some fo the updates simply won't work on the Vrtuozzo environment, they are done every couple months, we post maintenance notices when they are done.
