Keeping getting bounces from mail 4 saying that the server can't be reached when sending from a different domain name thats not on mail4, a customer has also been getting bounces due to spf when sending from mail4, the spf record for the domain has a ptr entry for goh*****e.com and I'm wondering if thats also due to the server being unreachable
there is a ticket about the spf bounces

Mail4 is not down.We will check your ticket and will update you back through ticket.
 
Turned out the customer was using his isp's mail server as the outgoing mail server which in turn caused the spf failures.
