JodoHost's New TOS

Today JodoHost released an updated TOS change. I'm not sure what all was changed in the file (don't have the old one to compare to) but I was relieved to see the included section.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against porn sites, H/C/S/W sites or music sharing, but there is a time and place for everything and I am *extremely* relieved to see that my site isn't going to be competing for bandwidth against the latest "Top 100 Downloadz" sites.

So what actually changed in the TOS?

General Abuse

Any attempt to cause harm or undermine JodoHost's servers, computers, network or customers is prohibited. Use of the Services to carry out any activity that is illegal under US and International laws is also prohibited.

Prohibited uses of the Services also include, but are not restricted to:
1. Use of IRC, bots or clients
2. Unsolicited Bulk Emailing

5. Illegal Content
6. Copyright infringement
7. Trademark infringement
8. Hosting and linking to pirated computer software and music.
9. Hosting/linking to software or information (such as software cracks, software cracking tutorials and software serial numbers) that may help any individual to obtain copyrighted software or music illegally.
10. Hosting or linking to computer software that may be used for spamming (know as spamware)
11. Providing/Promoting material that is grossly offensive to Internet Users which includes blatant expressions of bigotry, racism or hatred
12. Providing/Promoting material about illegal activities or promoting physical injury or harm against any group or individual

The TOS is just stricter is some aspects and introduces new clauses (regarding server abuse, product requirements, website security/operation, basic internet knowledge, etc). There was unclarity about where we allowed pornographic content. We have clarified that no such content is allowed. It generates too much of traffic.

AUP has been integrated with the TOS.

Thats about it

Like I said, then, I'm glad to see it in there. And knowing how well and directly you folks handle things over there I'm certian that it'll be somehting that we won't have to worry about slipping through the cracks, either.
