Looking for a solution for WP blog in subdomain

hi folks

i have my domain on a windows box
but would like to setup WP - on a unix box, to use the Rewrite mod.

is this possible?

Is this domain a service domain or normal one. In case of service domain, you can add sub domain as third level domain for unix account. For other case, you need to put third level domain in unix account and put it to static ip address. And point your sub domain A record to that static ip address.

yes, this is my service domain. can you help me set this up? (especially when i need the dedicated IP?)

Please open ticket with sub domain and account in which want to add that sub domain. For having static ip, you also need to fulfill our ip justification policy.
 
I have replied your ticket. Domain for which you want to point its sub domain on unix account is not service domain.
