Mail1 server is currently running as a separate logical service on our control panel server. We have now setup a dedicated server for mail-service and migrating the users off to this new server.

Specification for the new server are as follows:

Operating System : CentOS release 4.5 (32-bit)

Hardware:
Intel Core2Duo(TM) 1.80GHz
4GB DDR II RAM
320 GB SATA II (RAID I)

The process will take an hour(or less) to complete and actual downtime for mail service will be 5 minutes( or less). There will be no loss of mails during the process.
 
The process has started. We will need to stop control panel for approx 10 minutes to ensure no new changes come in during the process.
 
Mail service moved to new server with downtime of 50 seconds. CP will be comign up after a few changes are done.
 
Migration was finished with mail-service move posted above and the process took 15 minutes in all.
