Microsoft Access 2007 - Supported?

Hi, does Jodohost support connections to "Microsoft Access 2007"?

If so, what provider should be used for a DSN-less connection to the new "MS Access 2007" files extension of ".accdb"

I honestly have not checked to see if the existing ODBC/Jet will work with Access 2007, I will check it tomorrow, it's a good question!

Hi Stephen, thanks for chasing up the query.

I have noted that another hoster is advising to use a provider of: "Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0" with MS Access 2007.

How did you go with your investigation?

Actually it doesn't work at this time, but I just found the needed app to install to make it available, and will be working on it today on win23 and win24, other servers will have it added over the next week.

Thanks for the reply and update.

I am trying to use an Access 2007 database (.accdb) on: win6.lanestonemedia.net

and am getting an error of:

"ADODB.Command error '800a0e7a'

Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed"


I am using a proivder of "Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0"

Can you please advise of this is the correct provider to use?
