MSSQL5 Server Migration Saturday May 5 1am to 5am EDT

MSSQL5 is experiencing some issues in the last 2 weeks with slow speeds and some possible RAM errors(that are not major to this point). We are needing to migrate this server to a new hardware base to rectify this problem permanently.

The new server is an AMD Opteron 270 with 4GB of EEC DDR RAM, windows 2003 SP2 and SQL 2000 SP4. We will be performing this move between 1am and 5am EDT Saturday May 5th. This migration will cause downtime on the MSSQL5 server while the databases are taken offline, moved to the new server and brought online, this will take between 45 minutes and 3 hours to move all the files and settings to the new server. We will make every effort to keep this time as short as possible.

We are taking this action to prevent further problems that could occur from some errors being seen.

Services are back online, I will be doing some hpshere checks and other minor work but wanted to get user DBs back online ASAP.

I am going to take a little rest and be back in a few hours to finish up hpshere integration side, as this time all the user services and databases have been brought online. Other changes to be made will not affect these and will only be for the management side of the databases to hsphere.

HSPHERE is working to manage databases. Maintenance fully complete. Kindly, check your database and if you have any issue kindly, let us know through Ticket.
