I have noticed that I frequently get multiple messages from forums I have subscribed to. At first I thought it was a problem with my email client as the headers appeared to be identical. However, on very close examination, I have found they are not identical.

I notice also these messages also have 2 Date:lines, each a second apart. I'm not sure if this is valid.

Notice that in the 3rd line message 1 has qmail 7494 whereas message 2 has qmail 7495. The messages-ID: is identical in both messages, but I guess that the differences in the 3rd line of the header is sufficient for my email client to identify the messages as being different. In all cases where I get duplicate messages, the only difference between them is that number in the 3rd lineReturn-path: <*****@jodohost.com>
