Need a Gmail Invite

Can I sign up without the invitation code? Or without a mobile phone?

I still have 498 email invites. I guess they are useless now.

On that article that says you shouldn't use Gmail. What is all that about? Is it really that bad and if you don't use Gmail what service are you supposed to use? I guess I would use my Jodo email address for my website but I hate the email client that the CP has. Its retarded.

I was one of the first 50 people to sign up to Gmail I got an email telling me. But I have been thinking about changing to a different service anyway. I love Gmail but its getting too cluttered, after all these years of emails. I have thousands and thousands of emails, and I personally don't understand the point of saving them.

So you can save important emails, like order/payment confirmations, etc. But I always saved those anyway. They don't take up much space. I bet 95% of my saved emails are all spam, or subscription emails when someone replies to a thread, etc. They are useless.

Why would Gmail want to waste expensive storage space on this garbage?

BTW: I am currently getting 400+ spam emails a day about sex, and viagra, etc. They all get cought by the spam filter so Gmail is really good about filtering the spam, but I still check to see them. I don't understand how all these people get my address, I guess its because its an old address. I've had it way to long (which makes it hard to change too, because everyone knows it. I will have to change my email address with all my online accounts.)
