New server / Parent paths enabled?

My site is in the process of being moved from Win4 to Win1. I'd like to know if the parent paths I had enabled on the old site is enabled on the new one. Also, is the path the same on the new server, i.e. 'D:\hshome\site\folder\file'

My pages can't seem to locate the MS Access db in the new location.
