If I use outlook professional 2003 to download my email messages instead of using the web mail program from the control panel, do the messages automatically get deleted after I download them with outlook?

I only want to use outlook for my messages and I don't want them taking up space on my account after I have downloaded them with outlook.
 
yes, by default emails are deleted from the mailservers after being downloaded, unless you specifically set up the email account to keep a copy of the emails on the server.
