Time: 8PM EDT(GMT-4) to 9PM EDT
Date: Saturday August 12
Reason: Upgrade hardware for increased anti-spam processing settings.

We will be upgrading Mail1, Mail3 and Mail4 for increased anti-spam settings Saturday at 8PM EDT. This is one of the lowest times on the mail servers and when we will be performing the maintenance. We will start with mail1, move to mail3, then mail4 each server will be down approximately 15 minutes for their upgrades, however they will not all be down at the same time. It will be staggered over a 1 hour time frame from 8PM to 9PM or until done.

had a short delay in the datacenter, mail1 is being taken offline for the next 10 minutes.

The network on mail1 did not come up after the reboot, and it is still down. I am working on this now.

Mail1 is now up, the network service had to be restarted becasue the network patch cable was plugged into the wrong NIC port.

ACtually, it is working internally but not externally yet. Deepak is working on this now.

Mail4 is having an issue with its arp listing, Tanmaya is working on this. It it having an error binding to the main mail4 IP

For mail4 a deprecated parameter was in place in config(handwritten actually).
Also the hostname wasnt correctly set somehow, causing multiple script unable to detect correct hostname.
Being first reboot since this new server is up, it went unnoticed.
We have taken care of this and will doublecheck it during next kernel upgrade that will be scheduled next weekend or early.
