unable to delete or chmod

Hey, Ive got a number of files that i want to delete, but permission denied. so i try to change permission, but it wont do that either. So what can i do? Its the same via ftp or webshell.

Hmmm...this may be completely duff gen but in webshell make sure you've ticked the "show hidden files" box - there may be an .htaccess file there which is denying permissions - if this is the case, delete it.
