Windows server URL rewriting or aliases

Hi,

Apache webservers have a module called mod_rewrite for creating aliases and redirecting page requests.

The scripts would go into a .htaccess file.
Example:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^([A-z]+)/([A-z]+)\.$ index.asp?nav=$1&page=$2

My question is: Does JodoHost offer similar functionality on their Windows-based servers?

if they have it enabled, you should be able to use the same mod_rewrite

im not sure, i have never used the .htaccess on my windows account only on the linux one, sorry!

but jodo is good, if you need something to be enabled and you have a reason for needing it.. then they will most likely do it for you.

they are also pretty quick on replying to questions like these.. so check back shortly and im sure a jodo employee can officially answer
