Wordpress Workaround

Hello -

Several of my wordpress installations have recently had the standard "/wp-admin" login blocked by jodohost. I totally understand why you do this, and I'm not really opposed to it. However, it would be convenient if, when you block the default page, you were to automatically create the standard workaround page.
That would be super nice of you.

Hello,

I appreciate you understand the reason of blocking the /wp-login page which is due to botnet attack on wordpress login page. On shared server we have many client's who have many domains who have installed wordpress under domain, subdomain or in a sub-folder, so changing all of them is not possible.

However, we do create the workaround login page on request either via live chat or support tickets. So you can raise a support ticket or come on live chat and we'll create it for you.

Also, if you've any static ip from where you accessing it then we can allow your ip on the server and then you can access the wp admin section normally using /wp-login.

It would also be nice if Jodo would let us know via email that they have blocked the admin folders. Instead we (I) find out when trying to update a site for a client.

It may be possible if we do it on an individual level, when the attacks are seen scanning entire subnets however we disable the page globally so it is a bit harder to give notice of the issue.

This can be fixed by replacing all instances of "wp-login" to "mysite-login"(or any custom name) in file "wp-includes/general-template.php".

You can open a support ticket, we will do this task.

Something that I am running into is that plugins and other core features on the site have no idea about the new login URL. So for example when a user is trying to login after creating an account, they can't.

What is the fix for this?

Thanks,
Mark

Please open a support ticket with domain name. We will check and will revert back to you soon.

Curious as to what is going to happen when themes are changed or updated or future WP updates take place. Will these modifications need to be done all over again?

As of now I get this when I try to login:
Service Temporarily Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Ticket sent in to Jodo but clients get highly perturbed when they can't access their sites when they previously had no problem doing so.
