Frequently my customers' sites will get screwed up and report 0 for the disk quota. In those situations, I cannot update it and have to file a support ticket. That typically takes many hours to resolve.
What is causing this? (It has been a problem for years.)
What can I do to fix the problem...
I've been having many complaints from customers over the past couple of weeks about mail being blocked, especially by RoadRunner. Servers include mail3 and mail9 on cluster 1. My own site uses mail3, which means I've also had to deal with many undeliverable messages. I see some other recent...
Her IP? You mean the mail3 IP? Her PC's IP would be the same if she used her personal (RoadRunner) SMTP server as when she uses mail3 but she says messages sent via RR go through, those through mail3 get blocked.
I got this from a client:
Any suggestions on what I can tell her other than the usual blacklists are temporary? She's on mail3.
Will turning on SPF or Mail Domain Keys provide her any relief?
Re: Help with nameserver update
I get two errors when looking up my service domain at intodns:
ERROR: One or more of your nameservers did not respond:
The ones that did not responded are:
###.#.137.4 ###.#.138.4
(which correspond to ns1 and ns2) Is that a problem? My sites all seem to...
Re: Help with nameserver update
OH! Now I get it. I'm setting the IPs for the hosts I defined for my service domain at my registrar. Got it.
Darn GoDaddy will let me update only one at a time, then I have to wait while they process that request before I can update the next host.
Re: Help with nameserver update
Likewise, I'm wondering if I need to change anything. When I look at my server aliases, they happen to be called dns1.myservicedomain.com but they all have the new IP addresses. So am I all set?
I found a modification on the phpList forums to add in custom port support. I've enabled that and set it to use port 587. But I don't think that's the problem. It's supposedly processing the queue, but nothing is going out. It's not actually moving through the batches of emails that need to be...
A client's install of phpList stopped working recently. I opened a ticket about it. But, the ticket has been set to "On Hold" status and I'm getting no further info on what's happening.
Ticket is DLN-80901-156
This site has been running for quite some time. They're claiming that all of a...
I'm having troubles with sending mail from a CodeIgniter based site. Actually, mail was working for a while but now I'm getting this:
I have SMTP Auth enabled as best as I can tell from the somewhat spotty CI documentation:
Anyone here used CI and gotten email to work?
What about dropbox? The first 2 GB or so is free, especially if you play their games. I have 3 and I'm not eligible for their student and special programs. It gets a bit expensive if you pay for extra space. But more than one person at your client's firm could sign up if they need the extra...
Thanks for the kind comments. FestOS hasn't generated much interest or revenue I'm afraid. I have a couple of paying customers for hosting sites using that system and a few hundred downloads from the Google Code repository. No community involvement, which is disappointing.
The Door2Door app...
Don't know if you're still looking, but Google just announced their One Pass platform, http://www.google.com/landing/onepass/ Maybe it would help? I don't think given Apple's new terms that you could do the in-app purchasing on an iPad. You could with any Android-based readers.
You could...
Not sure if it's the official procedure, but I did essentially what you're asking when I moved a domain recently. Here's what I'd do:
1) Add the domain to the account (on the domain's page, there's an add button).
2) Use FTP to rename the domain's directory (e.g. ~/yourdomain.com) to...
