    EMail PROBLEMS

Sorry, didn't mean to be ludicrous, of course ISP's would never block traffic... it all flow freely, if they started blocking traffic we might have to do something strange like setting up alternate ports or something. Good luck with your problem(s)

    EMail PROBLEMS

Yup, similar here *within the ISP's network* - if you're already on/internal to the network, no authentication required at all; some clients actually prefer to use the local ISP's SMTP because it is faster with larger emails w/attachments (given my large distance from either JH data centres)

    EMail PROBLEMS

I'm surprised Verizon is disallowing your connection to an external SMTP server even when using alternate port 587. Perhaps the easiest fix is to use Verizon's SMTP servers for outgoing mail... Looks like a Verizon policy on SMTP use, that's what the issue looks like to me but I could be wrong.

Discussion on Jodohost moving ahead - Resellers

Thanks for the update. No worries on the account move, at this point its more of an inconvenience than anything else and as long as we know that it is reasonably moving forward then its something we can bear with for short-term. Cheers

Discussion on Jodohost moving ahead - Resellers

I have a client complaining about the same thing, C1_Win12 in FL and MSSQL11 in TX. Any idea on the which servers are heading to TX soon?

    Backup Question

Thanks Stephen; On the VPS provider I use I backup software for an onsite and offsite ftp backup option -the offsite does cost $$$ so was seeing if the service plan backup would eliminate that expense. Anyway, I should get off my butt and the site over to a Jodo VPS instead to consolidate...

    Backup Question

Can you explain what exactly "Managed block-level backups with storage" is under the OS-Level support option? I assume it is just a server image on a regular basis but are individual file restores available or just server level restore. How many backups are kept? Thanks George

    Hyper-V - Q&A

With the Hyper-V solutions, will there be a MS SQL add-on option if we wanted to avoid installing sql express?

    Reseller Account Limits

Not a big deal today as I was approaching the Cluster 2 limits anyway so an upgrade was in order anyway... always thought it was a bit of annoyance though that new customers got more space/bandwidth than long time customers. No biggie anyway.

    Reseller Account Limits

I was just thinking about the same thing this morning when I had to upgrade my account... posted limits are higher than given (for us cluster 1 customers anyway it appears)

    Merry Christmas all!

It's warmed up from -30c to about -10c so it should be a relatively warm Christmas... balmy as a matter of fact ;-)
