I heard a rumor that if webpages are compressed before being delivered, it would save mobile users some time...... I tried to add some lines to my .htaccess file to do this.....but the server didn't like me afterwards, so I took them out. Any info on doing this new fangled compression stuff? z

Yes.......looks like it's been on my end the whole time....it was uploading .pl files in binary which made the files screw up............SORRY...............z

I figured out what was happening by myself.....BUT...it is still some kind of server issue. When you upload through FTP a script xxxx.pl to your cgi-bin, that script will get a server error. BUT, if you EDIT that script in WebShell and make some minor insignificant change like deleting or...

Apparently scripts in the cgi-bin are no longer working Have created trouble ticket but maybe everybody took the weekend off z

Any progress on this?..........It's simple javascript no doubt.......why would they remove this feature? Most likely it's an option that you all need to set z

It used to be you could click on a row and it would select it. This was very useful for when you had to scroll right to see the fields you were looking for...... Could you please enable this again? z

I just checked my other websites PHP MyAdmin and if I click on a row there it will automatically select it........that's version 3.4.11.1 ..........Please make this work again in the new version of PHP MyAdmin z

Well, this forum editing part is a browser issue...........but the core issue of not being able to select records anymore is happening on all my browsers..........and certainly on browsers where it worked before........ Hate to see a very USEFUL feature like that not be available...

OK.......must be firefox browser can't handle the truth........Opera works on the editing z

Is the post editing function broken here.........it pops up a blank page when you try to edit...... Was gonna change that I don't think you needed to hold down CTRL.......you could just select multiple rows z

Also, that tree on the left side is froggy........something weird going on there.......... I suggest you all go back to the previous version which was working Great..... z

It used to be you could click on rows in browse and they would highlight. And you could highlight many rows and then do a batch edit/delete on all of them. Now it doesn't highlight the row anymore........what gives z

The problem was not with the MySql server.......apparently a port on the website had some kind of traffic limit that was kicking in. z

Ok.....the issue is fixed!!!..........and everything is running faster than before.......Thank You!!! z

Maybe you can assign a tech with the expertise to figure this out? And revamp your support system to where a person can actually talk to someone.......this trouble ticket system is inefficient and frustrating to use in a case like this. z
