Failed to add Domain [emergency]

Eksith

Guppy
Hello.. I have opened a ticket about this, but this is an emergency!
I have a domain "eksith.com" that used to be hosted under a subdomain as eksith.ghostnetworks.com.

My host created a new account for me as eksith.gnhost.net, and deleted that old account and domain...

But when I try to enter eksith.com to my new account I get...
Failed to add Domain eksith.com
Domain name already registered

I don't know what to do!
Now my domain is completely inaccessible form the public!

How do I erase my old DNS entry and move my domain to this new account?

You will have to ask your reseller to come to us, I am sorry but we have no authority to assist you without their submission of a ticket.

Well now my host has created a ticket as well... I just got another from him again.

He tried the same thing from his control panel and the same effect.
We both now have tickets opened on this.

Please, I need this to get working.

If I understand you correctly, I have seen this problem before, it appears that Hsphere already has a DNS record for the domain somehwere... If a domain exists, even as an alias, somewhere on the system (Hsphere), then you cannot add the domain again. The alias or domain needs to be completely deleted first.
Of course, I could have misinterpreted the question...

You are right.. That's exactly the problem.

Well, it's been 6:30 hours since my original post and both me AND my host has issued support tickets on this.

This is ridiculous!
When a subdomain is deleted, its domains should also be DELETED.
So when we add it somewhere else, we're not having this problem.

If a subdomain is deleted somewhere, the domain name(s) associated with that subdomain still remain.
There's no DNS "cleanup" after the fact, which is a REAL BIG HEADACHE.

Should I cancel my hosting account and go elsewhere or will H-Sphere stop holding my domain hostage to an old account?
I know my reseller won't be pleased, but at this point, I'm running out of options.

eksith,

some things can't happen immediate, sometimes there are "ghost" records in the database that make this happen and we have to manually edit them out.

However, your reseller needs to be the one contacting us, not you. Part of the reseller program is that THEY handle the support and if issues such as this pass it on to us.

From Ghostnet... My reseller :

Please note the time!

Hi Eksith
Yes, I did contact them. I should be hearing from them shortly.

I opened the ticket the same time I got your message.

Q: I have deleted a subdomain (eksith.ghostnetworks.com) which had the domain eksith.com

I created a new account for the user who is now hosted under eksith.gnhost.net

But when the user tries to add his domain eksith.com to his account he gets a "Failed to add Domain" error because of the previous DNS entry.

Could you please delete the previous DNS entry for eksith.com add it to the account of eksith.gnhost.net ?

This is an emergency.

Thank you.

So let me say again...
"The Reseller" was very prompt!

However, your reseller needs to be the one contacting us, not you. Part of the reseller program is that THEY handle the support and if issues such as this pass it on to us.

As you can plainly see, he tried! Only then did open the ticket.
And his hands are still tied because even he can't get this to work.
That's why I turned to the source.

Edit_
Domain added!

Finally! Thank you!

eksith,

Direct database edits have to be done carefully. Resellers are not to send their clients to us. I am just stating the facts to you, we have no means to help you in this, your reseller needs to bring it forward, which I realize they have done; however database changes must be done with the highest care as to not cause corruption or further problems.

I understand it isn't to be taken lightly. I do realize I'm not the only one you have to worry about. I suppose my reseller is now regretting that he mentioned who provides his hosting.

He didn't send me here. That I did by myself.
I was in a panic when he said he couldn't add the domain himself I didn't know what else to do (obviously that explains why I can't host anyone).
I first posted here without even knowing that he already opened a ticket about it.

I have posted links to my site which were all critical (I participate in a programming community and I had code snippets and such in zip files).

I hope you understand.
