Stephen, All I can say is many other hosts do handle it somehow. With that said, if you could at least offer a means to do a backup, that would be 75% of the equation as at least then we could get offsite backups easily. As is requesting a backup say on a daily basis would be a a PITA...

WH4L offer it, 1and1 offer it. Those are two I have used. You can't get much more discount than WH4L. Custom built or not I don't really care, but others do offer it.

I agree, the backup/restore issue is the biggest issue I have with the Jodohost services. There needs to be some method for users to be able to do our own backups and restores. Msot other hosts offer this and it is a must for anyone using SQL Server.

Some pages still seem to have issues. Not to be critical of the overall design but it looks like a site from 10 years ago. Also the button text is pixelated and there is also a lot of dithering on the home and email buttons. Spacing of the text by the menu needs to be more as well as it is...

Make it fixed width and solve a number of your issues. Resizing sites look horrid for those of us on a widescreen monitor if browser is maximized.

I'm not sure if DNN4 uses it or not, I have stuck with DNN3 sites for now so haven't tried 4. But I'd liek to be able to use the membership for custom developed ASp.NET sites if possible.

Is anyone using the ASP .NET 2.0 membership and roles feature on a Jodohost site? Just curious if it worked fine and what was involved in setting this up.

Thansk Stephen. How is it for third party custom modules? At the end of the day, the cost issue is a big one for possible commerical use, or at least a consideration.

I guess I'm asking what makes it better in those areas? SO MUCH BETTER doesn't really relate why and I was just curious as I have never used it personally.

What about it do you find better than DNN? It has a much more restrictive license and isn't free for commecrial use as I understand it.

If you don't mind changign them back for consistency I would appreciate it but its no problem is it has to wait as long as it doesn't cause isues. The other domain is not transfered to Jodohost yet.

Will this cause issues with other sites usign our old aliases? We have some using them now. We will probably jsut leave the aliases as is, as long as they work with both service domaisn we are fine. Can you change the DNS ones back as they were?

Should I see any entries for "Built-in DNS records for reseller`s server aliases schoonersolutions.com" like I do with my first service domain where it lists all the servers or should this be empty?

Where do you select this? I created the zone but did not see anyplace to select it when I created a new service account.
