    read-only ftp (win)

That's an interesting idea. It would also mean giving a downloader the address of a single file rather than the contents of an entire directory. Cheers!

    mysql Server Down

How is this going? It was working fine today but again the sites were down at 11.27 UTC but just for a minute or so - the kind of thing which was happening before the major attacks.

    mysql Server Down

Stephen, I hope you can help with this. Since coming over to Jodo as a reseller I've put up a couple of dozen or so sites for my clients. Most of them are ASP coded and rely on a backend MySQL database for page content and so on. Almost from day 1 here there have been annoying connection...

    read-only ftp (win)

Thanks - it looks like it has to have a dedicated IP to have permissions set on the ftp. I'm not ready to give the customer that so... well he'll have to wait. Thanks for your help.

    read-only ftp (win)

Unfortunately this is under H-Sphere where I can't seem to find any option for folder permissions!

    read-only ftp (win)

I want User A to be able to upload/delete files from the server. I want User B to be able to read those files (download) them only. They can't upload their own files or delete any files from the server.

    read-only ftp (win)

I have a client for whom I've set up an ftp account where he can upload files. He wants to allow read-only access to this account but I'm not sure how to set this up. Is this possible?

    set folder permissions

I'd like to set read/write folder permissions on a Windows server. I checked and old thread from 2004 which said I need to raise a ticket for this but since it was so old I figured something may have changed since then. So, how can I change permissions on a folder?

    client email access problem

No. 100% sure he set up several new ones. At first he set them up and they wouldn't work because he'd made the size 0MB for each; but then he changed them to 40MB or so and they worked.

    client email access problem

I'm having a curious problem someone might be able to help with. I have a customer who wanted an FTP/Email only hosting without a website. Fair enough, I set one up for him. I set up a sub-ftp account and made a directory in the top level called ftp for him to upload and do what he needs...

    streaming radio

I have a potential client who wants to put his radio station online as streaming radio. What kind of set up would you recommend and what would be the costs for that? Thanks!

    can't send emails

Curious this. I have a domain with several email addresses on it. Using Outlook I can receive on [email protected] and [email protected]. However, I can send from [email protected] but I can't send from [email protected]! Outlook just tries for a few moments then gives up. But... I can...

I can't upload files (enough space)

Does the disk usage amount shown on the log in page of the CP include logs, mysql, etc or is it just for the website account websites themselves? Is there a way to see total disk usage per account?

I can't upload files (enough space)

Sorry, I still don't quite understand this. My disk usage is well within the plan allowed and yet I keep on having to increase the FTP quota to allow me to upload more files. Am I going to be charged for this? What is the quota and why is it so low? Thanks!

I can't upload files (enough space)

Is there extra cost involved in increasing the quota then?

Thanks - I tried with a few and it worked ok.

I can't upload files (enough space)

I had this same problem. The quota read 1000 MB used of 1000 MB and the transfer ftp read 566.8 MB used (or thereabouts). Just to understand this, how come the system stopped when the transfer wasn't maxed out but the quota was? What exactly is the difference between these? And so I...

    table case sensitivity

I didn't know if it were possible to use the lower_case_table_names system variable to set this before the MySQL was started so that code containing uppercase table names could refer to lowercase tables on the server.

    table case sensitivity

MySQL. The server is unix but the code is from ASP so it's on Windows.
