How much longer on CP backup, its been down for hours.
If you guys going to do a backup and then vacumm on control panels, can you post next time it will be over 8 hours the control panel will be down. There was a post in fourm around 4:00am saying panels were up, then they went down and the message disappered.
I had no notices or nothing on mysite as I didn’t know it would take this long. Clients been contacting me.
I apologise for this. There was not enough communication on this maintenance and me and stephen had a discussion on this.
We never expected this to take 8 hours though, usually it takes 3 hours.
It took and is taking significantly longer as some Hsphere’s background processes were running as well. Since they are DB intensive, VACUUM didnt happen at its full pace.

Yes, it really has been down for long. Hopefully it should complete soon.
Ok. It is done. Control panel will be started in next 5-7 mins.
They arent much faster, still very slow..
It wont be the fastest at this point as it has to process its pending background jobs. I still would like to know what is slow for you.
Slow Logging in and switching pages. Im sure it will be fine when backup is done.
Backup is done, but just a few calculation/resource usage loading processes of control panel is running.
Just tested, it took 6 secs for me to login and get full main page disaplyed for a reseller admin control panel.
taking less than a second for me now
ok good. I should have mentioned that I’m at 380ms (New Delhi office) from the server, so it should indeed be much faster there.
It is slow again… but perhaps this is part of the nightly process since it is 12:22am eastern time.

These panels are still very awful slow…
The CP still seems to be slow - it halts altogether for on occasion and I need to try again to get the entire page to come up. Is there still something going on that is slowing it down?
I’ll amend that by saying it’s OK most of the time. But it will pause and chug along from time to time.
I was going amend the above, but amended by amendment, so the above still stands unamended. 
I’ve been testing around and it takes on average around a min between page loads. Sometimes its quicker (15 seconds) and sometimes its awful, 3 mins.
