Another update.. Two possible causes we have isolated:
Migration related: This is what PSOFT says and they are working on the issue separately to correct it
Spam Flooding: This could be true as there are a huge number of emails in the queue. This is probably leading to the high CPU usage on the machine and hence in the delay in being pushed to the proper mail boxes. This is what our admins are saying
Both issues being worked on simultaneously
If anyone has any concerns or complaints, I’d be fglad to deal with them
Yash, my email has gone crazy. I have now just re-recieved a whole load of emails that I downloaded yesterday. I’ve had problems all day recieving email.
This “transparent” mail server migration has been a pain. My customers can’t even login through webmail. I don’t know what you guys practiced all week up until this migration, but obviously there was more to it than you bargained for. This is very disappointing.
You cannot say “Nothing went wrong in migration”. Server config & CPU usage… all these are part of migration. If there is nothing wrong, why cannn’t we access email? Why cann’t we send/receive emails?
