Yash - Other are reporting same slow speeds with our site, not jsut from our location so I suspect the packet loss and routing could be causing other people problems as well.
WebFire’s traceroute shows no packetloss.
You are the only customer that has passed on a traceroute to us showing this sort of packet loss. I plan to bring this up with our bandwidth provider again although this is very much an issue beyond our control
Ok thanks. I understand it is somewhat beyond your control but people visting our site are experiencing similar speed issues so it does impact yor quality as a host if people find hosted sites here slow. For some people it is fine but for others it is not.
As I stated before I have NEVER seen a tracroute/ping test where the route changes every single ping so somethign has to be wrong somewhere and it does impact Jodohost.
If we cannot ensure reliable speeds from all users then we may have to look for other hosting as we cannot have a number of visitos with these issues. Hopefully it can be fixed as I would like to stay with Jodohost as the service has been great so far but this needs to be addressed.
Also I would not reply on a single traceroute as a test, from our testing it changes every time and sometimes it is fine while the next ping route may have loss.

WebFire, schooner’s issue is due to packet loss as you can see from his traceroute. If you are experiencing slow speeds, it is likely it isnt related to the network. Submit a ticket and we’ll check it out

I understand that. However, I was impacted the other day. My connection is fine now, it was my client who said she had slow connections. If it happens to her again, I’ll have her do a tracert.
Thanks.
schooner, have you contacted your ISP. As I already said, we have already put this to the attention of InterNap and plan to do so again
Has there been anything new on this? We are still gettign the same issues and it seems worse again this morning. Packet loss, continuous route chnages on each ping.
Contacting our ISP will do little when the issue seems to be closer to your end. And it is not limited to our ISP, others hittign our sit have noted similar issues.
Seems things are better now. Stephen mentioend a fibre isue this week and since then it is now much better and we seem to be goign through sprint. Anyone have any details of what happened and if this is now permanent?
