Spam Mail 3..

What is going on with the spam on Mail3 its been awful. This is only from a few hours, but all week its been bad. I have things set to aggresive and a spam folder for spam to go into, but none of this is even being listed as spam.

not had any here either and on any of the mail accounts I have on that server.

wow, it has just been awful for me, today even worst. I put a support ticket in for the address, maybe they can tweak the settings.

Yes, the Spam is going awful lately.

I check many spam have “V / A G R A” , maybe mail manager can block or put a special filter with that.

Im still getting about 10-20 a hour ,give or take some. Its been awful, I might have to delete the address for a couple weeks, maybe that will help.

I am moving all my E-mails I need for this address so I can delete the address, I don’t know if that will help for a couple weeks, the address is on my business card so I have to keep it. I am hoping when they spam me it bounces back and they delete me. Yea right so bad its worth a shot… 8)

For the other guys here , i want say you my temporal solution. I have a email address last years, and cant delete.

1 ) Use it as IMAP ( i remove in this way , not downloading to my pc )

2 ) I use Empropter, seek in google, and i can delete generic V / A G R A for the simple subject ( manually but effective )

3 ) If u want download to your outlook express, use “CACTUS SPAM FILTER”, is a freeware with incredible Bayesian technology.

I will never pop3 off to outlook, I never risk that to go on my PC. I hate outlook.

Yes. I do the same.

Empropter DONT download NOTHING.

I use it because i have a catch all email account in other place with around 2000 mails daily, near all are targeted as SPAM in SPAM-ASSASIN ( other server, no hsphere ) and i get in tray a sound when new mail arrives. I open, see the title, mark and delete. No need to download to outlook.

For other thing i download a ONLY POP helm email account to Outlook, parse and delete with Cactus spam filter, and later reupload it to my jodohost IMAP account.

Well… the spam was awful today.

Somebody can tweak V / A G R A in the filters to automatic delete???

The 80% of the spam i receive in jodhost is that.

Why is mail3 so awful with spam, seems everyone is having a problem. Tanmaya tried to tweak the spam settings, but the spam E-Mails, either keeps changing the subject name or using different address to by pass the spam settings.

Question, i have a new customer, if i put him now, exist a method to force his sites to mail4 ?

Mail 4 is a newer server, I believe all new accounts go on this server for mail, if you have updated your Server Aliases in your admin panel. Jodo will correct me if I am wrong, but this is how it normally works.

Maybe.. i am having the MAIN problem with one site currently in mail3, my doubt can apply here, maybe they can change the mail3 to mail4… i dont want delete and recreate because have 60 mail accounts.

Is it not your email addresses that are atracing the spam and not the mail server itself? Surely the mail server itself is irrelevant to the ammount of spam you receive as the spammer needs to know your email address in the first place.

No, the spam come as something like [email protected], directed to domains hosted here, including some than never send email, and non existent email.

Example, y have parked here one site called coatlahui.info , never promoted. The server send from coatlahui to kinam.com.mx and acecho.org, and similar.

In other words, form non existant “[email protected]” to [email protected]

Only in mail3.

We have multiple tickets in about this, with psoft, we are still waiting on a reply from them.

Spam on Mail3 is getting bad again.. Why can’t the >>>> Software,OEM Software, Hey Bro, Wallstreet etc. spam be blocked… Isn’t there a way to find out what Ip all this is coming from?

I am starting to get complaints now from clients. I also don’t think it is just Mail3, one of the complaints was from Mail4.
