Apache/1.3.37 Server at cp.m****here.biz Port 80

If you got that error, it must have been very briefly. I’m logged into the CP server now and its working quite fast.

I am not sure what email “slowness” issues you are referring too.

Yash, its admin panel, regualr panels, email manager, just same story. Its working better now, but took me over 3-4 min. just to switch pages in admin panel and to get to my regualr control panel, then when I got to the email manger after about 6min. I get that message.

This time I am wasting you just don’t understand, I DON’T HAVE THE TIME, its making things very hard for me…

The client CP seems to the down at the moment - it’s not responding at all. Is there a problem?

[ed] it’s responding now.. bit slow at times.

its stil very slow tonight and still! X(

I’m usually the last to complain, but the CP has been crazy slow for two days now for all accounts. We’re talking 3-5 minutes just to get a response to a single click. Kinda cuts into productivity, if you know what I mean…

The odd thing about it is that it will be OK for a little while, then it’s back to click, have a cup of coffee, play with the cat, click…

It is now 6am my time, and all morning, cp has not gotten any better. Something needs to be done, I can’t do this, it does take over our productivity. If I didn’t have the clients I did I would be gone, there is just no way for me to move them. But for me to continue to put clients on this cluster, I am going to have to do something and make a decision, time is money. I haven’t done anything yet, because I don’t have the time to setup my hostng and all my plans again from scratch this is a very time consuming process.

I understand why the CP are slow, but you guys need to get a plan or something becasue this is hurting your resellers and we can’t continue to work like this.

You’ll have to wait till we’re finished complaining if you want to be last. :eyebrows:

the control panel has been running 4 cron jobs for a VERY long time, this is partially the issue. I have Praveen checking it further now to find why.

I had Praveen to suspend 2 of the 4 cron jobs, I had some searching running and they sped up shortly after, and it is still not full speed, but these billing cron’s need to run. Hopefully without all 4 fighting it will speed the other 2 and clients side as well.

After these 2 are done we can start the others to complete.

Is it possible to run the billing processes on another machine, and refer to the CP machine’s database remotely? That might help… the billing progs will run slower but.. who cares?

The database is already remotely done, and even when billing runs it is low on usage, the issue is the java processes running the billing app, and not at this time can they be split off from the rest of the CP :frowning: (( mean it is not possible in hsphere of any version to split the CP in such ways, but it would be nice!)

Usually that was, you have to admit these circumstances are a bit unusual, but take my wife, PLEASE!

But seriously folks the CP is just marginally better; let’s hope those two chrons finish soon, or I’ll have to make antic the [B]but /B of my next terrible joke!

I’ve stopped all jobs for today already and any wont be running until midnight EDT.

This situation is not any better. Its morning buisness hours and i can’t even freaking get to my accounts in the admin panel.

YOu guys need to correct this issue, i can’t run a business like this, this is ridicious. If Tanmaya says A update may fix this problem. THEN DO IT. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR. X( X( All you guys been saying over a year is it will be done. WHEN???

WebD,

I have been using the control panel doing large amount of IP reports for the last hour and it is returning pages really well.

If oyu want a disater of an upgrade like SO MANY other providers have had, then you want us to just upgrade quickly, well we refuse to do this and have weeks of downtime like others have had. I am sorry but we won’t do this, and we are taking preps to do it as effectively as possible, and UPDATING TO 3.0 WONT FIX THIS. The cron jobs will still exist.

just updating does not fix the issues, the code base is EXACTLY the same, its not like it was all re-written, the major differences are in permissions structures and authentication, and this is why it is a upgrade in need of much planning, because it can take many sites down for very long. We also have to make a few more OS upgrades before going for it, and we will be announcing them VERY soon.

Hey, Stephen

I, for one, really appreciate the cautious approach Jodohost takes towards doing upgrades. Site uptime is the # 1 priority, and the fact that you all take it very seriously is one reason why our company is so fiercely loyal to Jodohost.

That said, however, there’s still something seriously wrong with the CP. When I click on the E-mail link on my main account home page for example, it takes an average of 8 minutes and 20 seconds to bring up a list of 10 email addresses. I tried it several times to make sure that it was not a fluke.

I know it’s frustrating to diagnose intermittent issues like this, but I think it’s best that you know that this is still a problem.

I;ve been waiting now about 7 min to get to a domain page. You guys stop the corn jobs during the day, we are tyring to work here. Im tired of talking about this.

We are constantly looking at ways to improve CP performance. This is not an easy fix.

I’ve been told this has been improved in Hsphere3. Still can you tell me the domain name?

do you mean end user control panel?

We are certainly going to take all steps to get this issue resolved at earliest possible. Our steps in this direction in the past should be assuring enough that we are not trying to ignore the issue. I don’t have access to the Hsphere code base, or may have been more help knowing where to look for the issue. We are all done way back, with measures suggested by Psoft support team as well as their development team for accelerating control panel speed.
