I'm getting a 404 on one of my domains on my*****e.biz
Is this related to the mysql outage reported above?
Oh sorry MSSQL1 http://support.jodohost.com/showthread.php?p=70089#post70089
I don't think it applies to us, though, we use mySQL. ?(
Anyway, I verified that the file is there (index.php)
This is an active site and it was online last night, but now this morning the users reported the 404 error.
Hello,
Plesae check it now.
Feel free to contact us for further assistance.

I have a bunch sites down with this type of error. Content is all there, was working yesterday, now I get a 404. I submitted a ticket for one this morning and just updated that ticket with the rest of the downed sites. I have clients calling all upset and I have nothing to tell them.
This is what I got in response to my morning ticket:
Great, that one site is up. But can't I please get more details? What was wrong? Why? I'm not mad, just flustered. How am I supposed to respond to my clients if you folks won't tell me?
Thanks,
Tim
Thanks. But why? These sites have been working fine, some for years. Now overnight they all have to be reset? Did I miss some CP upgrade notice?
And what's the pattern...I have multiple sites under some accounts where one is down and the other is working. I don't get it.

I did not know this was going to happen, but the ISAPI layer for htaccess(password protection) was having some faults, we had to disable the oldest PHP installs (in c:\php), it was not supposed to be used anymore, but there are still a few lingering domains using it.
The first hsphere update back at 3.0 moved them to c:\hsphere.net, the newest moved it to c:\program files, the oldest version has not been used in over 2.5 years as a path, and as I said I did not realize there will still domains using this path.
Had I known I would have issued a warning on it, but we had to take the action to fix password protection on some machines.
... an RSS feed ...
Of my downed sites, all but one are indeed pretty old. I wouldn't have guessed 2.5 for some of them. But, that's probably right. Anyway, thanks for the explanation. It would be nice to get more details in response to the tickets so I could look a little more in-tune to my clients.
How about twitter? I'm afraid I gave up on RSS, yet another program to run, to check, etc. I guess it's the same with tweetdeck. But, I'm following lots and always have an eye on the 'deck.
Tim
How about twitter?
Tim
Hmm, I'll look into this
Mostly though it's self promotion type stuff.
