Something for the wishlist. Backup related.

Hi all I guess no matter how confident I feel about Jodohost, I still want my own backup as all responsible webmasters should. There is one feature that I think is missing from all low cost hosts offering MS SQL Server I've used, including JodoHost. I'm talking about the ability to use the...

How long are webalizer stats retained?

Do you mean the log files or the processed AWStats or Webalizer files? Just an observation from my accounts, it seems like we keep the last 6 days of gzipped logs. I would expect the stats to last until you delete them. They really don't take much space.

    dotnetnuke child portal / subdomain

Yes, so you want to stick with 3.2 for now.

    dotnetnuke child portal / subdomain

Actually they just released 3.2 (for .NET 1.1) and 4 (for .NET 2.0) DNN installs very nicely on JodoHost. It doesn't need any 'custom dlls' in the way I think you mean. There are plenty of files with the name ending in .dll but they are .NET dlls, not COM / ActiveX objects that need to be...

    dotnetnuke child portal / subdomain

The names are a bit confusing. You need to create a parent portal, not a child portal. Child portal is, as you've created, www.4sheep.com/al Parent portal is: al.4sheep.com I can tell that al.4sheep.com already resolves to the same IP number as www.4sheep.com so you don't need to do...

    Ezmlm reply-to config

Hi all I'm looking at moving a small mailing list to Jodo. It only has about six subscribers and it runs on Mailman software now. I did a quick test of the mailing list that I can create in H-Sphere and it all looks good except that when people hit 'reply', the reply really needs to go back to...

    ASP.Net and Uploading

Here's a free photo gallery for ASP.NET including C# source. It seems to have some cool features so you might get some good ideas from it. http://www.dotnetdude.com/GalleryBuilder.aspx The author was a recent guest on DotNetRocks

    DNN speed

Well, good luck. Let me know if you need some advice or whatever moving the DNN sites. Its a bit more complicated than moving your average site. I'm sure Jodo support can help too. What I found is that its really best if you can zip up the files at the old host. I tried FTP first and got...

    DNN speed

Hi Gogo I'm a new reseller here and just installed a few DNN sites. I don't really want to post the links but the performance is pretty good. As Stephen says, the first hit is always slower. After that it is really fast. I have a site with a free third party calendar module on the front page...

    Multiple domains on service plan.

Thanks to both of you. That's how I thought it was. I'm really only curious but I wonder now about what is really different about a service plan, ie a plan with 'Service Domain' checked. It has no billing, but any plan can be set for no billing. I think it has something to do with relating it...

    Multiple domains on service plan.

Hi all I know this sort of question has been asked before but I'm still a little unsure. I have a new LiteHost reseller account. Its working very well. I've done the recommended setup with a service plan. Only one user, ie my 'corporate site', has that plan. I have a couple of other plans...

    Reseller questions

Hi I hope I'm not repeating too many other questions. I'm thinking of moving a few sites to you. Your service sounds pretty good. I'm not sure how I missed you when I moved a few months ago. I host for a few friends but I'm not really actively reselling. LiteHost looks like it will do for me...
