    Is <CFHTTP> a disabled tag?

Hi Hatton, Well, that was just an example and I was using the url from easycfm to try it, but I have done another example now. I have downloaded the xml file and put it on my side to see if it works, and I still get the error, so either something is wrong in my code (which I don't think...

I connect to mysql.jodohost.com and see all databases. Normal?

Thanks Hatton See, originally I had used a tool to take my access database and make an sql file. Then I used mysql-front and tried to import the sql file, but the problem I ran into with jodohost was that the commands in the sql file never said to CREATE TABLE blah, instead it was INSERT...

I connect to mysql.jodohost.com and see all databases. Normal?

So let me get this straight. With an access database, the actual file has to be uploaded to the server. With mysql, I have to connect to the mysql.jodohost.com server from my machine (mysql-front) and build the database through that? So there is no actual file that has to be uploaded, correct?

I connect to mysql.jodohost.com and see all databases. Normal?

Hi, i am using mysql-front and I am trying to understand it. I created a database through the control panel and a user, then connected via mysql-front. Well, I window popsup showing me all the databases on jodohost, is that normal? I guess it wants me to find MINE out of all of them. It...

    Mysql question. I am lost

I am quite confused as to the purpose of a *.sql file. Right now I am incorporating Dreamweaver MX + Mysql + Coldfusion. Typically, on my local machine, i have it setup so that the user is ROOT and the server is localhost. I am able to connect via mysql- front just fine and I currently have...

Trying to shift myself to new servers

Hi, I am curious as to when the owner I work with switches their account, or is activated, if that will affect the site at all? When I say that, I am refering to the fact that my access database uses the old username of ihopeyou-databasename that I created in the control panel, and since...

Using Coldfusion MX w/Mysql at jodohost

Thanks Danp5648 I know most of that was your old post, but I studied it more carefully and understood it a little better. I have never been big into programming, so for me to get into it deeply would be tough :) I am more on the webdesign area of things, not really web development. The...

Using Coldfusion MX w/Mysql at jodohost

DanP5648, its not your writing, I am very new to coldfusion and extremely new to mysql. I did send a ticket to Jodohost asking to create the connection. I am not sure if my question as the very beginning threw the whole topic off (you did answer it very thoroughly). In a nutshell, all...

Using Coldfusion MX w/Mysql at jodohost

Ok, what if I don't use the ODBC connection? I currently have it working with my access database just fine at jodohost, but because of the instability access can have if a page is getting alot of hits, I want to take a safe route.

Using Coldfusion MX w/Mysql at jodohost

Hey guys, Well, I am deciding to use mysql instead of access 2002 as my database because of if the site every becomes popular, I want it to be stable as can be. With that said, I have done the following. Created my mysql database. I am using mysql-front btw. I granted all priveleges to...
